My skin type

1.Sensitive

Is skin that reacts easily to anything eg cosmetics, plants, food, sun etc

Tip: Remeber to perform an allergy test before you try any new products.

2. Normal & Dry

Normal: Smooth texture
No enlarged pores
Good elasticity (Pinch around the jaw line: did it jump right back?.)
Rosy color
No blackheads or blemishes.
At midday it still looks fresh and clean.

Dry: No visible pores
Very thin, almost transparent skin
Flaky
Droplets of perspiration appear only above upper lip
Appearance of fine lines very early in life

Tip: With more oily skin, remember to use a thicker moisturer especially during the winter and colder months.  Drink plenty of water when you feel that your skin is dehydrated. It is a general rule to drink at least on average 8 glasses of water in one day.

3. Oily & Combination

Oily skin: Feels very greasy
Thick texture
Pores are enlarged
After a wash it feels fine
By midday it looks shiny
Prone to pimples

Tip: We usually assume if we have oily skin, we should stay away from oil-based products, this is not true! Oil-based products can effectively tighten and clean your skin, by dissolving sebum. However, do use an oil-free moisturiser or foundation as they keep the shine away, leaving you with a matte complexion.

Combination: When you have some areas of dry skin and other areas of oily skin.

Tip: There is no need to use toner on the drier areas of your skin, only the T-zone central panel areas will help the face shine-free. Remeber to use a gentle toner with moisturing properties.

4. Acne

A visible problem alert, screaming loud and clear.

The exact cause of acne is not fully understood.  However, some of the contributing factors to acne include: stress, family history & genetics, and hormones.

Tip: Not all acne products are for everyone. Regular exercise and a healthy diet is a must!

5. Aging

Some of the more noticeable signs of aging ocurs when the skin slows down in collagen and elastin production, decreased cellular regeneration, thining (usually eye area) and sagging skin normally start subtly in the 20’s depending on your own lifestyle habits and many other factors which is unavoidable. We can prevent first signs of aging by choosing the right products, avoid excessive drinking, and lead a smoke-free lifestyle.
